From the beginning, it was the desire of Snowbird’s founders to impact members in the local community. Missions projects were a part of every camper’s daily activities. Each morning campers would serve elderly women in the community through yard work, housekeeping and cleanup projects. In 2005, those missions opportunities further evolved into SMO (Snowbird Missions & Outreach), a fully operational summer missions program within Snowbird, directed by Shawn Clark.
SMO offers more than a missions camp experience. Committed to Gospel‐centered teaching and relational ministry, we focus on training students to serve in their own communities as a platform to share the Gospel. The mission of our staff is to invest in students out of a genuine, Gospel‐driven passion for their salvation and discipleship.
